Matt works with individuals, families, closely held family businesses, and family offices on developing income and transfer tax efficient wealth preservation and transfer strategies to help his clients achieve their unique financial, familial, and personal goals.

Matt designs and implements complex estate plans and intra-family transactions, including multigeneration gifts, succession plans, sales, loans, redemptions, entity formations, and liquidations. Matt routinely drafts Wills, a wide range of trust agreements, traditional and formula gift assignments, contribution and entity operating agreements, corporate governance documents, purchase and sale agreements, and redemption agreements. In addition, Matt regularly prepares federal Gift Tax Returns and advises individual and family office clients on discreet federal and state income tax matters.

Matt also represents fiduciaries in connection with probate procedures, complex trust and estate administration focusing on estate, income, gift, and GST tax issues, trust decanting and modifications, the preparation of federal Estate Tax Returns, allocations and elections associated with the Generation-Skipping Transfer Tax, the preparation of court filings, and the ultimate distribution of estate property.

Prior to joining Gyeszly Prangner, Matt practiced in the tax planning and tax controversy group at an international law firm and as a tax controversy associate at a major international accounting firm.
